Every Wednesday night we have a live Exactness class in Lindon, Utah and I shared with the class 3 simple ways to succeed in any economy and I promised to post them on my site. So here they are:
Passion
Anything done without passion is empty. If you are doing things you are not passionate about you will not succeed although outwardly you may appear to be successful. If you can’t wait to wake up and get back to what your doing then you are probably very passionate about what your doing. Passion will also drive you when other things do not. People with passion are magnetic, those who lack passion are repellent.
Efficiency
To be successful and profitable efficiency is a must. The inefficient are being and will be crushed. Always have been and always will be. Our goal should be to always seek to be more effective. When the market is up for many people, many people get lazy and inefficient. In the current market the challenge is to be what I call ‘Innovative Imitators’, the day of the do it yourselfer is over. Use tools that already exist and be creative with them, quit trying to recreate the wheel. I know a handful of people who are trying to create a ‘Facebook’ type tool, when they could just use Facebook and still do what they want to do. Creating your own Facebook is probably not the solution to your personal economic strategy.
Networking
All business is done through relationships. The old ways of marketing are dead. People love to exchange with people that they know. The more networks you have the better off you will be. The warmer the networks are for you the better. Imagine that you could only do business with people you know? How long until you run out of business? The bigger and warmer your network the better. Every dollar exchanged is through a relationship. Find networks to join into and continue to find ways to meet new people and exchange with them.

Nice post man. My favorite point was the first one. Being passionate is key.
“People with passion are magnetic, those who lack passion are repellent.”
You need to trademark that or something. I loved that. I always try to make sure the things I focus on I am passionate about. This is great advice for anyone. Thanks for the post.
