Keeping that balance between completely ruining a relationship and salvaging a relationship is very difficult. I think the main point is to at least be aware of your relationships and really focus on what the future outlook is rather then "now." I think we've all done it though. You've burned a bridge, or wounded a relationship. Sometimes you have to make a choice and if your true intentions were for the greater good then things will work themselves out. I'm a true believer that the relationships you create now, will stay with you for a lifetime, so maintaining them will make your life a lot easier down the road.
